Kiyo’s model has seven concepts. Learn them in order: each builds on the previous one.

Evidence classes are the foundation. Skills and routing decide which procedure applies. Effects and depth decide what that procedure may do and how much ceremony it needs. Memory, governance, and verification operate inside every workflow. Activation explains how the host gets the instructions in the first place.

The ten bootstrap rules

Every Skill reads the same shared bootstrap before acting. Its ten principles summarize the whole model:

1. Evidence before assertions. Distinguish Facts, Assumptions, Proposals, Approved decisions, and Unknowns. (KIYO-FACT-001)
2. Discover before asking; ask before inventing routes, schemas, versions, provider identity, or results. (KIYO-FACT-002)
3. Memory is context, not unquestionable truth. Recheck material claims. (KIYO-MEM-001)
4. Code proves only inspected implementation, not production, deployment, or approval. (KIYO-FACT-003)
5. Approved decisions record intended behavior. Preserve discrepancies. (KIYO-DEC-001)
6. Prefer existing safe patterns to new abstractions. (KIYO-ENG-001)
7. Make the minimum necessary authorized change. (KIYO-CHG-001)
8. Read-only intent stays read-only. (KIYO-SAFE-001)
9. Obtain scoped approval before sensitive actions where policy requires it. (KIYO-AUTH-003)
10. Never claim a check passed unless it actually ran. (KIYO-FACT-004)
